Kevin Mark Alwood, 61, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11:55 pm in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be Friday, March 9, 2018 at First Christian Church (3350 North MacArthur Road, Decatur, Illinois) at 7 pm. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral at the church. Pastor Tim Revis and Dean Rose will be officiating. Memorials may be made to the family. Tanzyus Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of arrangements.
Kevin was born in October of 1956, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of Claude and Lela Alwood. He graduated from Clinton High School. Kevin was a member of the Union Laborer Local #159. He married Sara Longbrake in December of 1976.
He is survived by wife, Sara; three daughters, Danelle (Bill) Binkley, Tania (Bob) Montgomery, and Rachael (Will) Alwood Weaver; twelve grandchildren and two step-grandsons; and his sister, Lois Woolum.
He was preceded by his parents.
