Charles Edward Knight, son of John and Cathrine Knight, was born February 11, 1862 near Des Moines, Ia., and died July 26, 1948 at St. Joseph hospital, Concordia, at the age of 86 years, five months and 14 days.
He came to Kansas with his parents at the age of eight years and settled on a homestead near Agenda and lived there all of his life.
Mr. Knight was one of five children, all his brothers and sisters preceding him in death. Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Interment was in Willoughby cemetery, July 27.
