Ellen was born March 12, 1935 in Hundred, WV; daughter of the late Carl and Bertie A (Powers) Wise.
She was a retired nurse’s aide for Care Haven Center, past member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 28, Eagles – Aries in Paden City and Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Sistersville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
Surviving are four sons, Johnny (June) Doty of Webster, FL, Rick Doty of Sistersville, WV, Donald “Rob” (Beth) Doty of Shadyside, OH and Tim (Helena) Doty of New Martinsville, WV; three daughters, Anna Doty of Alliance, OH, Debbie (Joe) Hohman of Proctor, WV and Sherrie Doty of Wheeling, WV; sister, Reine Wells of Proctor, WV; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City.
Private interment in Northview Cemetery held at the convenience of the family.
