He was born Sept. 21, 1938, in Metcalf, the son of Roy Curtice Watson and Lela Flora Seamster Watson.
Survivors include his daughters, Dee Partlow and husband Marshall and Amy Watson and husband Dale Sidenstricker; grandchildren, Wayland Watson Partlow and wife Jennifer, Wyatt Marshall Partlow and wife Lindsay, Whitney DeeAnn Partlow, Parker Watson Sidenstricker and Preston Watson Sidenstricker; great-grandsons, Kyler Dillon Partlow and Kason Wyatt Partlow; brother, Douglas Watson; sisters-in-law, Agnes Watson, Sharon Harrison and Margaret Hopper; many nephews and nieces; friends; and wonderful neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents and many in-laws.
Dennis attended school and graduated from Villa Grove. In his younger years he worked for Thurman Adams and USI. He retired as superintendent of Hi Cone in Charleston after 35 years of employment.
Dennis enjoyed attending festivals, car shows and concerts. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing video games and going to various school sporting events.
At his request, private family services and burial were held in Mound Cemetery, Charleston.
