Mr. Sheppard was a United States Army Veteran, and a member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time caring for his family. Mr. Sheppard loved to sing, and make his family and friends laugh. He was known as the family historian and storyteller, passing family history to his nieces and nephews through anecdotes.
Mr. Sheppard was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, who co-parented him along with his mother, Cincus and Georgia Wilson Sheppard; and paternal grandparents, Rose and Joe Wren.
He is survived by five children, Shawna Pelligrino, Kristen Sheppard Ellis of Princeton, Kentucky, Danielle Harris of Princeton, Kentucky, Chris Griffin of Newport, Arkansas, and Nicole Binkley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister, Karyn Randolph Jones of Newport; nine grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at Fifth Street Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Shoffner.
