Beatrice Carbo W. Falgout, a retired pharmacy technician, died June 21 of cancer at her daughter's home. She was 80. Mrs. Falgout was born in Houma and lived in New Orleans for the past 75 years. She graduated from Gilbert Academy. She was a member of Pure Light Missionary Baptist Church, where she was superintendent of the Sunday school for 32 years. She also worked as the church clerk, served as the Music Ministry's pianist and was a member of the Sisterhood Auxiliary, the Beautifying Ministry Mission and the choir. Survivors include a daughter, Glynn Williams Wade; a stepdaughter, Allegria Alsina; two brothers, Hayward Sr. and Henry Carbo Jr. of Los Angeles; two sisters, Leona C. Evans and Elise C. Williams of Los Angeles; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. at Pure Light Missionary Baptist Church, 3944 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park. Charbonnet-Labat Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
