Mr. Stanford was born in Clay county, Illinois on the 5th day of April, 1857, having: had three brothers and one half-sister, the brothers having preceded him in death.
On August 23rd 1883, he was joined in matrimony to Miss Laura Vernan.
To this union were born eight sons and two daughters, of which nine are surviving. Francis A., Lillie M., John E., Charles H., George J., Cyrus N., Alfred E., Leathe L., Theodore R., six of whom are residents of Flora. Alfred, residing at Vincennes, IN, Theodore of Toledo, OH and Mrs. Lillie M. Dove of Felt, OK
Mr. Stanford was preceded in death by his wife, Laura and one son, Benjamin.
