Patricia Ann "Pat" Treadway, of Elizabethton, passed away at the age of 84 on March 2, 2018, at Signature Health Care of Elizabethton, TN.

A native of Elizabethton, she was the daughter of the late Allen Floyd and Lena Allen Taylor.

She was proceeded in death by her first love and husband, Joseph Randolph “Joe” Treadway.

Mrs. Treadway graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Library Science. She was school librarian and yearbook sponsor at Happy Valley High School for many years. A devoted educator, she shared her lifetime love of books and passion for research with her students. Her gentle spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many over the years.

She was a long-standing and dedicated member of the First Christian Church of Elizabethton, where she served in many capacities, including librarian.

She was an active member of the community, volunteering for ARM, serving on their board of directors, and The Daughters of the American Revolution. With unmatched grace, a strong and generous heart, and a zest for life, she truly cared for all. An avid gardener, Pat spent countless hours working in her yard tending to her flowers and had a special fondness for hydrangeas.

Her greatest love was her family.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Patti Anne Treadway of Elizabethton and Meredith and Tracy Trott of Murfreesboro, TN, one granddaughter Laura Meredith Trott of Atlanta, GA, one grandson Joseph "Joey" Trott of Knoxville, TN, and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Kathy and Wayne Riley of Baldwin, GA and Dottie and Jim Riley of Woodstock, GA and many special nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A service to honor and celebrate the life of Patricia Ann “Pat” Treadway will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Monday, March 5, 2018 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Mr. Michael Klaus, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Gene Estep. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Monday; or at the residence at other times.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Patton-Simmons Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joey Trott, Mike Riley, Joshua Riley, Jubal Riley, Mike West, Brett Barton, and Jonathan Street. Honorary pallbearers will be the men and women of First Christian Church of Elizabethton and her many friends and neighbors. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton at 10:15 AM on Tuesday, to go in procession.
