Jane Martin "died at birth with her mother" Catherine McManus. A letter written in 1947 by her nephew Leo Martin says that Jenny "died and was buried on the farm, " apparently a reference to the James Martin Farm which was homesteaded around 1843 outside Paris. Catherine and James are buried in St. John's Cemetery.
