William L. "Bill" Harwood, 77, of Jonesville, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, at the Hillsdale Hospital. He was born September 1, 1940 in Jonesville to Leslie & Edna (Noblit) Harwood. Bill was married December 28, 1968 to Jonell Ford and she survives.
Bill retired from Don Scott Drilling in Jonesville in 2005. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School, class of 1958. Bill always was volunteering his time selling raffle tickets for many different organizations including the Hillsdale Moose Lodge and the American Legion of Jonesville.
Surviving besides his wife Jonell are two children, Todd Harwood and Billie Jo Harwood, both of Jonesville; four grandchildren, Allison, Megan, Coty and Andrew; two great-grandchildren, Gracelyn and Kennedy; four siblings, Jane Verdon, Henry (Betty) Harwood, Ruth Hotchkiss and Bob (Chrissy) Harwood.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Edna, Harry and Mary.
Funeral services for Bill Harwood will be Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville with Pastor Tim Gorniak officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday from 6-8 PM, at the funeral home.
