Graveside services for Mr. John Stedman Camp of Calhoun, LA will be 10:00am Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe.
Mr. Camp was born February 12, 1958 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on March 4, 2018 in Calhoun, LA at the age of 60. He was a very talented and crafty carpenter with a brilliant and intelligent mind. He was considered a “Jack of all Trades” and was blessed with many God-given talents. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and a friend to all. John was loved and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Camp; and one brother, Jack H. Camp.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Sherry Lynn Camp of Calhoun; his children, Alecia Cook of West Monroe, Reese Camp and Megan Camp of Florida; his step-children, Kristy Hayden and husband, Chris of El Dorado, AR and Will Turnbow and wife, Stacey of Calhoun; his mother, Betty Camp Tynes of Calhoun; one brother, Jeff Camp and wife, Debra of West Monroe; also survived by eight grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dewey Street, Brad Camp, Tim Hart, Wayne Patterson, Shannon Huffty and Tommy Barmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Reese Camp, Will Turnbow, Larry McGough, Roger Reignhart, Eugene Donaldson, John Mahaffey and Chris Hayden.
