Franklin Roosevelt Jackson was called home to God on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 1 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with burial to follow with military honors in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
He was born on March 22, 1933 to the late James R. Jackson and Cora Helon Ellington Jackson. Franklin is survived by his children, Vickie Sewell (Kerry), Jeannie Tedford (Leon), Joel Jackson (Tammy), Ross Jackson (girlfriend, Ellen Miessner), and Doug Jackson (Sherri); sister, Pat Griffin; grandchildren, Matt Sewell (Cyndi), Malika Watkins (Jeff), Amanda Chappell (boyfriend, Scotty Johnson) and Nikki Sexton; and six great grandchildren, Will Sewell, Austin Hoffman, Kayla Sewell, Miranda Chappell, Jessie Chappell, and Cooper Sexton; and one great great grandchild, Brim Ayers.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Juanita Diggs Buford Jackson.
