JANUARY 15, 1932 ~ FEBRUARY 28, 2018 (AGE 86)

Katherine Beeson Hodges Hitt was born on January 15, 1932, in Dallas, Texas to John Lee Beeson and Josephine Pasqua Beeson. Katherine, who was also known by friends and family as “Kitty” and “Bappy”, passed away on February 28, 2018, at the age of 86.

Kitty grew up in Dallas, Texas, where she raised her three children, before moving to Lake Tawakoni in Quinlan, Texas. She enjoyed an active lifestyle that included hosting family gatherings and chasing her grandchildren around the lake on the weekends. Kitty spent many years working as a substitute in Quinlan ISD, helping to bring smiles to the many young faces that she encountered. It was there that she found her love for children with special needs. Kitty was a “lover of life”, which was evident by her giant personality and contagious laugh.

Kitty is survived by her children, Bob Hodges and wife Janice of Quinlan, Texas, Pat Hodges and wife Teresa of Rockwall, Texas and Suzie Garrett and husband Doug of Dallas, Texas; her brother John Lee Beeson Jr.; 6 grandchildren, Leeann, Greg, Jeff, Katie, Corey, Jayce and 6 great-grandchildren, Kolton, Hadley, Addison, Taylor, Avery and one expected in August.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at Ingram Funeral Home, Highway 751 and 276, Quinlan, Texas, 75474.
