Actor. Born in Nassau, Bahamas, he is best known for his roles in the 1970s films "Cotton Comes to Harlem" (1970), "Uptown Saturday Night" (1974) and "Let's Do It Again" (1975). His other memorable film credits include "A Dandy in Aspic" (1968), "Salt and Pepper" (1968), "Joanna" (1968), "Myra Breckinridge" (1970), "The Beast Must Die" (1974), and "Wild at Heart" (1990). His notable television credits include "Get Christie Love!", "Starsky and Hutch" and "Good Times". He also had a recurring role in the 1980s series "Dynasty". In addition to films and television, Lockhart had a successful career on stage. He died of complications from a stroke.
