He was born in Jan. 13, 1940, in Elyria to Carl and Verna (Gibson) Lahiff.
He attended Ohio State University and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Lahiff and his wife, Marilyn, moved to Englewood in 1989 from Medina, where he was a member of the Rustic Hills Country Club. He held memberships in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Power Squadron, and B.P.O. Elks Lodge 2378. He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Mills) Lahiff of Englewood; sons, Patrick of Washington D.C., Matthew of Indianapolis, Ind., Mark of California.; stepchildren, Charles Miller and Shelly Miller of Cleveland; grandson, Logan Miller of Cleveland; sister, Jane Strauss of Amherst, Ohio; and Marilyn's parents, Jack and Lila Mills, also of Englewood.
Service: noon Monday at Berry Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Road, Westlake.
Burial: Brownhelm Cemetery, Amherst.
