Our beloved Samantha Sue Tyler passed away on March 3rd, 2018 in Lubbock, TX surrounded by her loving family.
Samantha was born on August 11th, 1988 to Clifford and Carolyn Tyler in Roswell.
During her short time on Earth, Samantha expressed enough love to satisfy several lifetimes. She especially loved spending time with her nieces, Payton and Madison.
Samantha loved all forms of art and displayed a natural knack for photography and creative writing. She filled notebooks with poems and worked toward getting them published. Leaving this world before Samantha were her grandparents, Earl and Ethel Tyler, great-grandparents Thurman and Goldie Tyler, Walter and Margaret Collins, and Howard and Thelma Briggs. Left behind to carry on her loving ways are grandparents Robert and Margaret Briggs; parents, Clifford and Carolyn Tyler; sister Melissa Whitney and husband Christopher; nieces, Payton, Madison, and Alexus Whitney; nephew, CJ Whitney. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
To know Samantha was to know a true, genuine soul. She was a person without pretension or ego. At times, she doubted her worth, but anyone that spent time with her quickly experienced her wealth of love.
Samantha always had the words to express what most of us can only vaguely imagine. With her gone, this noisy world seems silent.
When we need to find the words, we’ll think of Sam and wish for her inspiration.
A memorial will be held from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 17th, 2018, at Church on the Move’s OneEighty building on West Brasher Road. Food will be served but potluck would be appreciated.
