Douglas "Doug" Wayne Boyd, 49, of Keokuk died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in his home.
Doug was born on December 27, 1966, to Charles Wayne and Vivian Lee Finton Boyd in Keokuk, Iowa. He was a life-long resident of Keokuk and loved his job with Kohlmorgan Hauling, his general duties at the Keokuk Mall and Dollar General. He loved Eagle Days and was into recycling. Doug really enjoyed "Pancake Days" at the mall; one day he ate 54 pancakes. The Keokuk Mall was his second home. Doug enjoyed his holidays, family and friends. Doug will be missed but never forgotten.
Doug is survived by his father, Charles W. Boyd of Keokuk, two sisters, Laura Mead and Kim Brewer, both of Keokuk, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Doug was preceded in death by his mother Vivian, two sister, Cindy and Amy Boyd, and a nephew, Austin Boyd, paternal grandparents, Alma Louise Boyd and Raymond Boyd, maternal grandparents, Katherine Hall and Albert Finton.
A cerebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau Street, with Pastor John Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Live Center with family meeting friends from 5 to 7.
