Mary Kinane Nann, 81, of
Syracuse, died Friday, December
8, 2006. A lifelong resident
of Syracuse, she was the widow
of Herbert A.
Nann and the
mother of nine
children. She
graduated from
C a t h e d r a l
Academy in
1943 and
worked as a
telephone operator at New
York Bell for several years.
She was an artist and
painted in oils. She was an active
member of the Onondaga
Art Guild and served as its historian
for many years. She was
also a longtime member of the
Catholic Daughters. She was a
communicant and lector at
Saint James Church.
Although predeceased by her
son, Jerome, in 1996, she is
survived by her daughters,
Kathryn Forni, Monica Nann
and Noelle Fairbanks; sons, Michael,
Steven, David and Anthony
Nann; 16 grandchildren;
and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 8:15
a.m. Tuesday at Edward J.
Ryan & Son Funeral Home,
3180 Bellevue Ave., and 9 a.m.
at St. James Church, 4845 S.
Salina St. Entombment will be
in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Calling
hours will be Monday from
4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to
St. James Church.
