Billy Joe Marshall, age 86, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
He was born June 23, 1931 in Kilgore, Texas, the son of Boyd and Ora (Cook) Marshall.
Billy received his education in Wichita Falls, Texas. Throughout his life he worked as a carpenter, truck driver and steel worker. In 2002 he moved from Wichita Falls, Texas to Shell Knob to make his home. He was a member of Bridgeway Assembly of God Church in Shell Knob.
In 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas he was united in marriage to Dolores Billinger and to this union four children were born. On December 21, 2004 he married Frances Foster, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Grady and Donald Marshall; two sisters, Evelyn Owen and Dorothy Tallent; one grandchild, William and four great grandchildren, Mersaides, Teyha, Rilee and Lillian.
Surviving are his four children, Royce Marshall of Shell Knob, Missouri, LaDonna Scheuerman and her husband Dexter of Shell Knob, Missouri, Barbara Hurford and her husband Dale of Chico, California and Erla Nelson and her husband Larry of Alpena, Arkansas; one sister, Doris Shipley of Bay Town, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob. Pastor Karty Burbridge will conduct the services. Burial will be at Painter Cemetery in Shell Knob.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until service time Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
