Jerry Neil Sharp, 64, of Oklahoma City, OK died peacefully at home on Friday, March 2, 2018. Jerry was born May 7, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK to John Howard and Alvena Alice (Brown) Sharp. Jerry’s love of playing guitar, as well as other instruments, was instilled in him by his mother from a very young age. He was fortunate enough to have been provided the musical instruments and training that catapulted him into the great musician and lover of playing that he became. His favorite pastime was enjoying a jam session with friends. He was a very thoughtful, quiet and funny man. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alvena. Survivors include his beloved wife Paula, son, Toby Sharp & wife Sharon and granddaughter Teagan, daughter Alice Sharp, stepchildren Jessica Ohrel & husband Shay, John Creach & wife Whitney and Nelson Creach. He is also survived by his father, John & wife Corene, brother John Sharp, Jr. & wife Jean, sister Susie Eccles & husband Roger. Two nieces, Jessica (Sharp) Bell & husband Jason & Erin (Eccles) Williams & husband Marvin, one nephew, Ryan Eccles & wife Lindy, six great nephews & 4 great nieces and a host of loved ones & friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 17 at Rancho Village Baptist Church, 1411 SW 38 Street, Oklahoma City. Jerry loved the beauty of flowers, but in lieu of flowers, being the practical soul he was, he would have rather you donate to an organization that promotes music education.
