Carl enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved playing guitars. He was the owner of Carpenter Aluminum Foundary.
He is survived by his son, Tem (Candy Henry) Carpenter of Aurora, IN; daughter, Tammy (Mike) Kenner of Sunman, IN; two brothers: Arville (Pauline) Carpenter and Junior (Alberta) Carpenter, both of Williamsburg, KY; sister, Polly Seiler of Highland Heights, KY; five grandchildren: Jeff Bissett, Carla Bissett, Tony Carpenter, Temmy Carpenter, Tommy Carpenter; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Summer Carpenter; and his wife Katherine Carpenter.
Interment in the Petersbug Cemetery, Petersburg, Kentucky.
