Larry Charles, 63, native of Houma and resident of Hartford, Conn., departed this life on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home, 230 South Hollywood Rd., Houma, and on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. until service time. Service will begin at 11 a.m. at St Luke Baptist Church, 1098 Bayou Dularge Rd., Houma. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Larry was a member of ALFA PHI ALFA Incorporated.Larry is survived by his wife, Theresa "Teri" Millings Charles of Hartford, Conn.; a son, Larry Charles Jr. of Calif.; two brothers, James Charles and wife, Bernadine, and Leroy Charles and wife, Rhonda; one sister, Joyce Judy Bolden all of Houma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Sadie Charles; brothers, Donald Sr., Rinard Benjamin Jr. and Robert Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Eddie and Rebecca Neville Wesley; and his paternal grandparents, Edmond and Martha Harding Charles.
