COLUMBIA - Service for Annette Collum Townsend , 68, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial in the Blackville Cemetery, Blackville, S.C., at 2 p.m. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Sister Care.

Mrs. Townsend , wife of the late Harvey E. Townsend , died Monday, March 28, 2005. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Allie Verdie Collum, Sr. and Marjorie Fickling Collum. She dedicated her time and energy to teaching for 20 years, and founded and operated Palmetto Bonding for 30 years. She volunteered at Carolina Children's Home and the Dorn Veterans Hospital.

Surviving are her daughters, Stephanie Townsend and F.E. Huggins, III of Columbia, and Monica Hornsby and her husband, Jesse of Gaston; grandchildren, Jessica Hornsby, Jesse Hornsby and Jade Hornsby, all of Gaston; nephew, A.V. Collum, IV of Blackville; and stepdaughter, Bobbie Adams of Columbia. She was predeceased by her brother, Allie Verdie Collum, III and sister, Bobbie Jean Bates.
