Private family services were held for retired Alaska Psychiatric Institute medical technician Vivian E. Dunton, 79, who died March 31 at her Anchorage residence.
Born July 19, 1907, in New York City, N.Y., she had lived in Anchorage since 1961. She had received a masters degree in medical technology from the University of New Mexico and was a Women's Army Corps World War II veteran. After her retirement from API, she became a volunteer for the Alaska Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Blood Bank of Alaska and for the SPCA.
She leaves her brother, Ivan Dunton of Grants Pass, Ore.
