Anna L. Lowe, 92, of Quarryville, died Friday, March 2, 2018 while under the care of Hospice & Community Care. She was the wife of the late Lloyd H. Lowe, Sr., who died in 2011.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm for many years.
Anna enjoyed gardening especially flowers and vegetables, and bus trips. She was an avid reader and an excellent cook.
Born in Coatesville, Anna was the daughter of the late George E. and Mary Ellen (Bowermaster) Werntz. She is survived by three sons, Lloyd H., Jr. married to Joyce Lowe of Lancaster, John H. married to Linda Lowe of Bedford, VA and Ronald G. married to Sandy Hershey Lowe of Gordonville; three daughters, Louise Pomarici, Doreen Lowe and Nancy married to Douglas Hoffer, Sr., all of Quarryville, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas Hoffer, Jr.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 6 until 8:00 PM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA and again on Thursday, March 8 from 10 until 11 AM in the funeral home. The funeral is Thursday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Bronkema officiating. Interment will follow in Paradise Presbyterian Cemetery.
