Lois D. Mason, 83, Topeka, Kansas, passed away February 27, 2018.
Lois was born January 4, 1935, in St. Mary’s, Kansas, to John and Rose Schraeder Halleron.
The family moved to Topeka in 1948. She graduated from Hayden High School in 1953. After graduation, she worked for Bell Telephone Company and later, St. Francis Hospital.
Lois married Ken Mason on September 3, 1956. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2003. Lois and her husband owned Western Hills Golf Club.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Julie Conroy (Alan), Sheila Mason, and Jennifer Head (Torrey); grandchildren, Joseph Conroy (Johanna), Anna Keller (Joel), Jessie Conroy, Nicole Conroy, Jacob Head, and Hallie Head; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Rylie, Rowen, and Maddox Keller.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Halleron, Don Halleron, Betty Schaefer, Marcella Simmons, and Monica Harris.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka, KS 66614, with prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3601 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS 66604. Burial to follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the church, Hayden Catholic High School, or the Alzheimer’s Association, sent in care of the funeral home.
