KENNETH WAYNE "SKIP" RASOR, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at home. Born Feb. 4, 1938, in Fort Wayne, Skip was a son of the late Emmett and Cecil Rasor. He was a member of the 1956 graduating class of Central High School, where he was active in band. He was a member of the Indiana Air National Guard and Reserve, Fort Wayne, as well as the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He graduated from G.E. Apprentice School in 1960, received an Associates Degree in Industrial Engineering from Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne, in 1972, and an Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology from Oakland Community College, Detroit, Mich., in 1994 (Magna Cum Laude). He began his professional career at International Harvester Corporation, retiring after 18 1/2 years. He then spent the next 18 1/2 years working for Dana Corporation before his final retirement. He was an active member of the Summit City Lodge 170 for close to 60 years. Skip was an avid coin collector and enjoyed attending meetings of the Old Fort Coin Club. His other hobbies included bowling, golf and a variety of card games. He was a diehard Cubs fan and long time Chicago Bears fan. He had said his one wish before he died was to see the Bears win the Super Bowl and the Cubs win the World Series he got his wish. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Rasor (Linda Duderstadt) of Lenexa, Kan.; son, Kevin Rasor of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Mary Rasor of Marion and Brianna (Zachary) Wells of Fort Wayne; great-grandchildren Michelle, Christopher, Wyatt, Brody, and Rowan; brother, John Rasor of Fort Wayne; sister, Sarah (Bob) Menefee of Fort Wayne; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marcia Rasor; sisters, Regina Siso and Barbara Helmick; brothers, Emmett A. Rasor and David Rasor; and great-granddaughter Mya Nicole Brown. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
