Joanne L. (Sterner) Young, 79, died Friday, March 2, 2018 at the UPMC Pinnacle Health Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of George A. Young, who died on September 25, 2007. Joanne was born February 13, 1939 in York, the daughter of the late Lloyd Daniel and Dora Irene (Baublitz) Sterner.

Joanne was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Hanover and a member of "Recycled Teenagers".

Joanne is survived by four step daughters, Sherry L. Howland, Angela D. Tarczy, Tammy M. Ritchie, and Kimberly I. Alter; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Victoria L. Zeigler; and a brother.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Pastor Allen Harris officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Baptist Church, 6450 Hope Way, Hanover, PA. 17331.
