Christopher Hutchings, 73, of 11 Clune Court, East Hartford, died Monday at the Cedar Crest Hospital, Newington (Connecticut). Bron in Banbury, England, he lived in East Hartford 30 years. He was employed at the Royal Typerwriter Co., of Hartford, many years before retiring 10 years ago. He leaves two sons, Ralph G. Hutchings of East Hartford and Donald C. Hutchings of Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Thiel and Mrs. Doris Keane, both of Waqrehouse Point; two brothers, Charles Hutchings and Horace Hutchings, both of Maine; and six sisters, Mrs. Florence Harper of Hartford, Mrs. Minnie Hartley of east Millinocket, Maine, Mrs. Winnie Craig, of Sherman Mills, Maine; Mrs. Mae Greenier of Patten, Maine; Mrs. Ruth Williams , of Bangor, Maine, and Mrs. Isbel Bates of Stacyville, Maine. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Buirnside Ave., East Hartford, with the Rev. John Hays Duff officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
