She was born Feb. 4, 1951, to Lucille Putnam and Ruby Keith Young in Decatur.
She is survived by her husband, David McCoy, who she married on July 24, 1969; her son, Keith McCoy and Patty of Washington; and her brother, John Washburn of Decatur.
She previously worked at Maytag and was a previous board member of Galesburg Heritage Days. She was very active on the Civil War side for 20 years and was a hostess of the ladies tea and camp dance.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Schmidt-Haller of Peoria.
