MUNCIE--William Allen Abousamra, 76, passed away on July 13, in Grand Haven, Mich.
Mr. Abousamra was born in Elkhart, Ind., April 25, 1926. He resided in Muncie until 1967 at which time he moved to Grand Rapids, Mich., where he operated the Sir Pizza outlets. He graduated from Burris High School in 1944 where he was a class officer in his freshman and senior years and a member of the track team. He spent the next 2 years in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was discharged a petty officer. He attended Ball State University and then entered the retail business and worked at Standt Jewelers for several years as credit and collection manager.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Green Hills Country Club, and the Sertoma Quarterback Club. In his retirement years he spent much of his time reading history of World War II and writing poetry and comedy stories along with following sports.
Now Mr. Abousamra is bidding a fond and loving farewell to his brother, Roger (wife: Margie Jean) of Port Charlotte, Fla.; sisters, Helen Stanley (husband: Jim) of Fort Wayne, Rosalind Gephart of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Marsha Richardson (husband: William) of Muncie. There are also nieces and nephews.
"Abbey" would be remiss not to mention his loving and caring friends, Ron and Nancy Knight of Nunica, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Abousamra, and a brother-in-law, Robert Gephart.
She not a tear for I rest in peace.

Burial will be in Lake Shore Cemetery in Grand Haven, Mich. Zaagman Funeral Home in Grand Rapids is handling arrangements.
