Dorothy Mae Rowland, 84, of Judsonia, died Thursday, March 1, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 19, 1933 in McClelland, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Alice (Inman) Garrett.
She is survived by 2 children, Carolyn West (Mike) of Searcy and Bobby Rowland of Searcy as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Rowland, Sr.; a brother, Tommy Garrett; 4 grandchildren, Linda Rowland, Glenda Rowland, Brenda (Rowland) Dupre and Gary Rowland.
Robert Lee Rowland, III and wife Lisa served as her personal caregiver in their home for several years.
Dorothy was very active in her hometown of Augusta in previous years. She served on the Woodruff County Democratic Committee, American Red Cross, Extension Homemakers Council, Three County Fair Board and was a lifetime member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Augusta Memorial Park.
