HAWKINS, Nettie Mae (nee Bradford) age 102, of Moraine, Ohio, passed away on Monday morning, April 2, 2007, at Hospice of Dayton with family by her side, following a brief time of serious illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty (50) years, Fowler Hawkins in 1980, her eldest son, Vailous Fowler Hawkins, sons-in-law, Richard Bach & Bill Todd, and one grandchild, Tammy Hawkins. She was born in Putnam Co., Tennessee, on May 26, 1904, and lived in Tennessee until she and her husband moved their family to the Dayton area in 1945. She is survived by her children-Marcella Bach, Dimple (Stewart) Thacker, Dorothy Sue Todd (J.R. Jackson), William Bailey (Jacquelyn) Hawkins, Alton Reed (Patricia) Hawkins and daughter-in-law, Alma Hawkins. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, one brother-Delbert (Mary) Bradford, and several nieces and nephews. She has resided in the home of her daughter, Dorothy Sue Todd, since April, 2004. Dorothy Sue provided excellent care for Nettie with the daily assistance of Nettie's granddaughter, Dottie Whitlock.
