David McClain, 77, of White Hall, died Tuesday, February 28, 2018.

Born Nathaniel David McClain June 12, 1940 in Tuckerman, he was the son of Nathaniel “Doc” McClain and Lorena Winston McClain Fifer.

David was reared and received his early education in Tuckerman.

He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam.

David worked for International Paper Company in Pine Bluff for 39 years, retiring in 2002.

He was of the Baptist faith. David was a proud White Hall Volunteer Firefighter and member of the Jacob Brump Masonic Lodge.

David was preceded in death by his son. Nathan Lee McClain; and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Watts McClain, whom he married January 27, 1968 in North Little Rock; two sons, David E. McClain of White Hall and Robert “Keith” McClain of Sheridan; sister, Wanda Kerr of Quitman; two grandchildren, Magan and Zach McClain; special daughters, Kasey Douglas (Richard), Karey Broach (Jason), Allison Fowler (Steven) and Carley Covert (Jerrick); and their children, Brianna Douglas, Kellen Douglas, Kade Douglas, Cameron Broach, Karigan Broach, Emma Fowler, Gabe Fowler and Zachary Covert.
David McClain, 77, of White Hall, died Tuesday, February 28, 2018.
