Graduated from Fort Dodge Sr. High School in 1968. He enlisted in the Army National Guard and served from 1969 until 1975 as an ammo storage specialist.
Ronnie married Sherry Passow, the daughter of Dale and Bonnie Passow on March 18, 1978.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sherry; children Tina (Luke) Sankey, Tanya (Tim) Schultz, Bonnie (Jeremy)Osmera; 14 grandchildren, his brother Randy, and his sister Renee (Terry) Schultz. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, Paul Passow, Robert Passow, sisters-in-law Cynthia (Don) Hiller and Stacy Passow.
