Alverta “Al” Felsing, age 85 of Geronimo, passed away on February 27, 2018. Visitation will begin on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Friedens Church in Geronimo followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. with Pastors Sonja and Dave Phillips officiating. A reception will follow in the Friedens Activity Center. Private interment will take place at a later date at Lone Oak Cemetery. Al was born on June 2, 1932 in Northampton, Pennsylvania to Raymond and Esther (Atherholt) Spangler. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sisters, Samuel Spangler, Lillian Sutton, Ruth Frack, Marion Andrews, and Dorothy Hassler and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Erna Felsing. Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Wallace “Buddy” Felsing; son, Jeffery Felsing; daughter, Glynn Ann Felsing; grandchildren, Megan Felsing and Tanner Felsing; sisters, Betty Humanick and Geraldine Domitrovits and husband Joseph; brothers, Raymond Spangler, Ernest Spangler and wife Lauree, and Leroy Spangler and wife Lola; sisters-in-law, Dolores Brawner, Marlene Reininger and husband James and Lorraine Eckols; brother-in-law, John Felsing and wife Sandy; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandson Tanner and her nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Friedens Church, 2555 Friedens Church Road, Seguin, Texas, 78155 or to the charity of one’s choice.
