Gerald T. “Jerry” Evans, age 63, of Maumee, Ohio passed away February 26, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Jerry was born December 9, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to Truman and Edival (Rice) Evans. He was employed with the Gordon Food Service for more than 20 years. Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his son and grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his son, Gregory (Patti) Evans; grandchildren, Victoria Evans, Austin Evans, Bradon Evans, Michael Custer and Allison Custer; great-grandson, Landyn Evans; siblings, Eddie (Angie), Nancy (Mike), Betty and Beatrice "Ann" special nieces, Tammy (Mark) Williams and Dawn Terrill and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his step-mother, Juanita Evans; nephew Brian Evans and brother, Donald L. Evans.
The family will receive guests Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, Ohio.
