After graduating from Blodgett Vocational High School, Jack enlisted in the Navy. He traveled to Dunkeswell, England, where he was assigned to a B24 bomber, fighting in France, Germany, and the Atlantic. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, Jack worked at Carrier for 3 years and then spent 31 years as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. After retiring, Jack remained active in his church, enjoyed working on his classic Mustang, was an avid dancer, and spent time conversing with his good friend, Burt, and his neighbors on Hartson Street.
Jack is survived by nieces and nephews and caring friends. Services and Burial with Honors will be Friday, March 2 at 12 noon Veterans Memorial Cemetery 4069 Howlett Hill Rd, Syracuse, NY 13215.
