His remains have been recovered and he is now interred in the Jefferson Barrack's National Cemetery, Lemay, Missouri.

Andrew served as a Second Lieutenant & Bombardier on B-25C #42-32291, 70th Bomber Squadron, 42nd Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He resided in Hudson County, New Jersey & was a member of the New Jersey National Guard prior to the war.
His National Guard unit was called into full time active Army service on September 16, 1940, prior to the war, from Newark, New Jersey. He was noted, at that time, as being employed as a Cabinetmaker and also as Single, without dependents.
B-25C #42-32291, while on a Bomb-Strafe mission over Tobera Airfield, East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea was hit by ground anti-aircraft fire and crashed near Tobera. A witness noted that they thought the pilot himself had been hit causing the crash.
Andrew was first declared "Missing In Action" and once his remains were recovered after the war his status was changed to "Killed In Action".
He was awarded the Purple Heart.
