Beverly Lynn (Bruce) HENRY (06/16/1928 - 02/22/2018)

On February 22, 2018 our loving mother and wife, Beverly Lynn Henry, passed on to her next adventure. Beverly was born on June 16, 1928 in Sunnyside, WA the daughter of Bertha and Fred Bruce. Beverly had two brothers and five sisters.
While in high school, Beverly met the love of her life, Lloyd Henry. They were married on July 25, 1948. In the union, they welcomed into this world five daughters and one son. They have celebrated sixty-nine loving years together and experienced many, many wonderful things.
Beverly was a very active and supportive lifetime member of Grange and was a super cook. She was the CWA in charge of so many wonderful dinners provided to the community of Colville's various organizations and all who attended bragged of how wonderful the food was. She was also known as the "Cake Lady" for a time while she created many wedding cakes and cakes for all other occasions. Beverly was the matron of the junior grange for many years and planned many of the drills that were performed by the young grange members. She was known as the play director for years in that Grange. She and Lloyd were also escorts for many Grange trips over the years. Nadine Johnson was one of their many friends that went and never wanted to miss one.
As a mother, Beverly was very involved in the lives of her children encouraging them to stay busy and lead productive lives. She was also proud that she made all the children's wedding cakes and most of the daughter's wedding dresses. Beverly was a devoted wife as well. She was a very wonderful grandma and taught many of the grandkids to either cook or play cribbage to help them learn numbers.
Beverly was the last graduation speaker at the Marcus School graduation because Ruby Dubois was out of town and therefore Beverly was asked to speak. She was nervous to do this but did a wonderful job. She had a beautiful voice and sang on many occasions at the grange and in the Christian Church where she was in the choir, taught Sunday School and Bible School.
