RITES TUESDAY AT JOY CHURCH - Mrs Pearl Crawford, Aledo, Died Saturday After Long Illness -- Mrs Pearl Crawford, 61, widow of the late Ira Crawford, died Saturday, Feb 23, 1946 at her home in Aledo following several years of poor health. She had lived all her life in Mercer county.
The former Pearl Riggs, she was born Feb 3, 1885, at Joy and was married June 2, 1908 at Davenport, Iowa, to Mr Crawford. He preceded her in death Sept 1, 1938. She was a member of the Joy Methodist church.
Rites Tuesday - Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Joy Methodist church by Rev O.D. Drake of Aledo. Burial was in Peniel Cemetery.
Surviving are four sons, Ernest and Maurice of Joy, John of Galesburg and Russell of Seaton; two daughters, Mrs Kenneth Taylor of Aledo and Mrs Carl Johnson of Joy; two sisters, Miss Nannie Riggs and Mrs Will Steele of Joy, and 10 grandchildren.
