BIOGRAPHY
Lena Rae Cox Rogers, age 91, passed away peacefully at the home of her son, on Monday morning, February 19, 2018, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born August 8, 1926 in Beaver, Utah to Theodore and Vona Easton Cox. She married her eternal sweetheart and love of her life, Leland Burdette Rogers, on March 29, 1943 in Beaver, Utah. They were later sealed for time and all eternity on October 19, 1943 in the St. George Temple. Lena Rae and Leland celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in March of 2013. There were blessed with two children, Suzanne and Gregory.

Lena Rae was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving in the church throughout her life. She especially loved working with the young women and being a visiting teacher. She and Lee served a service mission at the Bishop's Storehouse in Beaver for 23 months.

She was a great homemaker and took pride in the care of her family and her home. She made the best homemade pies, cakes, and cookies. Her grandchildren loved to drop in at Grandma's house for one of her special treats.

She took great pride in her husband and his work for JC Penney. She created a warm home wherever Lee's career took them for 40 years, beginning in Milford, Utah, then St. George, Utah, Tooele, Utah, Tucson, Arizona, and last to Palmdale, California, where Lee became the manager of his own store. Lena Rae couldn't have been prouder of her husband. After Lee's retirement, they returned to Beaver to be closer to family.
