Origins unknown.. No records agree even on his age..Family records says he was born around 1800.. Census says between 1804 and 1809.. Married ? and had at least one daughter(she believed her father was born in England... Married (2) Martha Burrows... 7-9 children, again no records agree on names or exact dates.. Only connecting to known children.. Obit. says he was buried Grimes but more likely buried Burrows with his wives and their parents..Martha died very early giving birth to their last child born about May of 1863(child adopted out) Some time after 1870 Joseph married Martha's Sister Charlotte Burrows Merrick... She died around 1883.. His body might of been one of the ones moved to Grimes(??)
