Gerry was born on October 23, 1928, in Bayonne, N.J., to William and Hannah Rozman. Gerry met John when she was only twelve years old and instantly knew that she would marry him someday. On June 10, 1950, John P. Lynch and Geraldine Regina Rozman were married; their marriage lasted 63 years until John preceded Gerry in death, four years ago. They were the proud parents of six children and are survived by John W. (Sheon), Mark (Pam), Brian, Noreen (Dean) Barthelmes, Sue (Steve) Ewing, and Nancy (Greg) Post. Her legacy of love extends to her twenty grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Gerry was a faithful and active member of St. Phillip's Roman Catholic Church having served as a Eucharistic minister and women's Bible Study song leader for over three decades. "A friend to all," Gerry's warm and outgoing personality reflected her love for the Lord, for her family, and for all people. Her many friends were so important to her and enriched her life. Her greatest devotion and source of pride and happiness has always been her family.
As a mother, she modeled sacrificial devotion to her children's welfare, steadfast faithfulness in God, and a unified approach to parenting with John. Gerry loved to sing, dance, socialize and celebrate, travel with John, decorate her home, and spend time with family and friends. She loved the colors purple and blue and always dressed sharply coordinating her attire, lipstick, jewelry, shoes and purse. We cherish these memories and thank God for allowing us the privilege of having "GG" in our lives.
