He was born in Strongsville and resided in Columbia Station since 1956. Mr. Hollan was a retired ironworker with Local 17 of Cleveland. He enjoyed working on his farm and flying his own plane. He was a member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, where he was past vice president. Mr. Hollan was a member of the La-grange Masonic Lodge, the Masonic Temple in Cleve-land and past member of the Executive Board of Local 17.
Mr. Hollan is survived by his wife, Gertrude, whom he married Sept. 6, 1952; children, Jeffrey (Joan) of Pen-field Township, Laura (Ron) Berthold of Litchfield Town-ship, Russell (Charlotte) of Lagrange, Charles Sr. (Barb-ara) of Columbia Station, LouAnn (Scott) McCallum of Columbia Station and Christopher of Columbia Station; grandchildren, Jeff Jr., Julie, Charles Jr., Claire and Christopher Hollan, and Elizabeth and Eric Berthold; great-grandchildren, Landon Berthold and Charles Hol-lan III; brother, Jerry of Las Vegas; and sister, Mary Win-rod of Lakewood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna Hollan; and brothers, Edward, Frank, John and Jim.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. The Rev. Kendall Lancaster of Cleveland Clinic Hospice will officiate.
Burial: Columbia Township Cemetery, Columbia Station.
