Bertha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She was 86, a native of Covington and a resident of Baton Rouge. She died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at the Butterfly Wing of Hospice of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Friday, May 1, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Alex Sheldon, celebrant. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Bertha is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ray Jules Hebert; two daughters, Dolores Hebert Shoultz and husband Glen, and Zelda "Ricky" Hebert Cook and husband Jim; son, Richard Hebert and wife Barbara; sister, Myrtle Leveson; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Bertha Achee; five brothers, three sisters and a great-grandson. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
