Jessie N (Parrish) Barriger was born on April 27, 1924 in Hickory, Graves County, Kentucky, and she was the daughter of Jesse Ravier Parrish (1895–1960) and Irene (Wilson) Parrish (1892–1971).

She was married about 1949 to William J Barriger (1921–2015), the son of Thomas John Barriger (1878–1970) and Sallie Stone (Hearn) Barriger (1887–1927).

Jessie lived life to the fullest and was always eager to participate in numerous activities with her friends. During World War II, she worked for the war effort as a riveter assembling aircraft equipment in Detroit, Michigan.

She and her husband raised their family in Paducah, Kentucky, and after retiring from Sears in 1984, she and her husband relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. Jessie was a member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ and a former member of Broadway Church of Christ in Paducah.

Living in Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee, Jessie was 93 years old when she passed away peacefully on February 24, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and by her grandson Zachary Barriger, while survivors included a daughter, married son, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at Woodbine Funeral Home's Hickory Chapel in Nashville, and burial was in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
