Officials ruled the children died as the result of "homicidal violence."

Their mother is charged with capital murder and is awaiting trail. Her boyfriend is charged with injury to a child causing serious bodily injury because police believe he knew about the abuse but did nothing. He is also awaiting trail.

A massive memorial stretched the length of the block on Winnipeg Avenue where the bodies were discovered under the house.

More than 150 people gathered at the home Wednesday night to mourn the children.

"May God still be with you," the note read. "May the babies that were not meant to be killed now rest in peace."
