DANA C. BURKE, 20, of KEYPORT, died Wednesday, March 28, at home. She was a pre-pharmacy major at Temple University. Born in Red Bank, she lived in Keyport. Dana was active in numerous school and community projects. She also played on a recreational softball league and participated in several beauty pageants in New York and New Jersey. Dana was a cheerleader for St. Benedict's Elementary School and served on the award winning squad at St. John Vianney High School. As a member of the Monmouth County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc, she served as teen president, and received the Distinguished Teen Award.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Joyce A. Henderson. Surviving are her parents, Douglas and Dawn Burke; two brothers, Darren and Lexie Burke; her paternal grandparents, Arnold and Cislyn Burke; two aunts, Denise Herman and Monica Copeland; five uncles, Collin Burke and his wife Jackie, Patrick Burke and his wife Joan, Lancelot Burke and his wife Sandra, Howard Burke, and Paul Henderson. She is also survived by many cousins, extended aunts and uncles, and godparents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Family and friends may gather Monday at the Pilgrim Baptist Church, 172 Shrewsbury Ave., Red Bank, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Oak Hill Road, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Pediatric Neuro-oncology, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in Dana Burke's name.
