Sister Marion Catherine Dixon went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018. She was born March 25, 1930 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to William and Anna Mills. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1949. She was employed at Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company and worked there for many years until her retirement.

Sister Dixon was baptized at an early age into the faith and fellowship of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Sister Dixon enjoyed attending church and listening to Pastor Moore preach the Word of God. She was known as a calm, gentle-spirit who loved to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Larry Dixon III and Dennis (Thelma) Dixon; her parents, William and Anna Mills and 5 brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory, 6 children, William Dixon, Gloria (Curtis) McDonald, Hazel Coleman, Lester Dixon, JoAnn Dixon (James Ray, Sr.), Linda Dixon-Jones (Phillip) all of Kalamazoo, Michigan; a special son/nephew, Donald (Ruby) Barbee of Atlanta, Georgia; four surviving, sisters, Bernice McKinley, Evelyn Coleman, Helen Brooks and Pauline Gardner. Also, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Also, a special thank you to her dedicated caregiver, her granddaughter, Renee. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
